The Contributors
- Rabbi Aaron Frank (Head of School): Rabbi Aaron Frank is Head of School at Kinneret Day School and blessed to work with amazing students, teachers and families each day.
- Ezra Di-Pietra (8): Ezra DiPietra is an 8th Grade student at Kinneret Day School. He has been going to Kinneret for nine years.
- Matan Greenfield (8): Matan Joseph Greenfield is a thirteen year old boy who lives in Manhattan, New York. He likes learning new things, especially within math and science. He loves playing sports, especially soccer and football. Matan used to live in Tel Aviv and misses being there. He knows French, English and Hebrew fluently.
- Gabriella Jonathan-Trakht (8): Gaby has been a student at Kinneret for 11 years. Her favorite subject is math because she loves concepts that have only one answer and are not open to interpretation. She loves being given a good challenge to exercise her brain. Gaby also loves writing about things that interest her. She likes to express her opinions openly and listen to others' views and perspectives. Gaby is very athletic and her favorite sport is swimming. She has been swimming since she was five, and it has become a very serious and important part of her life. Gaby is a perfectionist and tends to be very detail oriented. Gaby is very happy to be contributing to Being L’ Bein.
- Sam Land (8): Sam Land is a current eighth grader and is a KDS co-president. He is interested in math and science, likes to write, and enjoys hanging out with his friends.
- Lucia Robinovich (8): Lucia Robinovich is an eighth grader at Kinneret Day School. She plays cello and enjoys writing poems, persuasive essays, and activism pieces. Lucia is a strong believer in the concept of tikkun olam, contributing to community service projects. Lucia loves going to museums, broadway shows, operas, and movies.
- Stav Barak (7): Stav Barak is a twelve year old seventh grader and has been a student at Kinneret since pre-K. He’s an avid reader and enjoys playing tennis and soccer.
- Nika Drubetskoy (7): Nika is a twelve year old who enjoys many activities which include horseback riding, piano playing, rock climbing, baking, and volleyball playing. She also enjoys sushi.
- Elisha Halperin (7): Elisha is in seventh grade at Kinneret Day School. He enjoys cooking, baking, and coding.
- Seraphine Penso (7): Seraphine was born on the summer solstice of 2009, which was also Fathers Day. Seraphine is in the 7th grade and lives near Columbia University in New York City. She's American, but also has Turkish heritage. Her father was born in Turkey, while her ancestors were expelled from Portugal over 500 years ago. She loves all things mechanical and likes problem solving. She is also part of the student council and is a member of the Kinneret choir.
- Yoav Tucker (7): Yoav Tucker is a seventh grader at KDS, and has been studying there since Pre-K. He likes science and math and is an avid reader.
- Eliana Chait (6): Eliana is a 6th grader at Kinneret day school. This is Eliana’s first year at Kinneret, and so far, she is enjoying it very much. She wrote this poem to help inform people how good food tastes, and how it can come in all different ways.
- Benji Dror (6): Benji Dror was born on March, 23rd, 2010. He grew up in New York City, and lives in the Bronx. Some of Benji’s interests are music, art, and reading. Outside of school he tends to go to the park with friends a lot. If not with friends, then just a simple stroll in the park. In school he tends to enjoy Social Studies and Math. Some foods that Benji enjoy are honeydew, dark chocolate, bagels, and wet matzah with cream cheese (some people find that last part weird).
- Ari Friedlander (6): Ariel Friedlander was born on August 11th, 2010. Even when he was an infant, he first communicated by pointing and using signals. At this point, he can use words, although he still prefers numbers.
- Adrienne Girzone (6): Adrienne Girzone is a sixth grader who has been at Kinneret since Pre-K. Adrienne likes to draw, sing, and act, and she likes dogs and other animals. When she grows up she wants to create a therapeutic practice with her friend.
- Anna Guervisch (6): Anna has been in Kinneret for two years. She loves writing long fiction as well as short stories in her spare time. She is in 6th grade and enjoys drawing, reading, writing, and most importantly hanging out with her friends.
- Miriam Krasinski (6): Miriam Krasinski is an 11 year old girl. She attends Kinneret Day School and she is in 6th grade. She likes drawing and soccer.
- Ari Raytburg (6): Ari Raytburg is a sixth grader at Kinneret Day School. Ari loves to play soccer and to draw. As an artist, he wants to weigh in on the debate of whether graffiti is art.
- Noah Trumper (6): Noah has been in Kinneret Day School for seven years and is now in 6th grade. He has great friends, caring teachers, and so many great experiences at Kinneret. He loves to travel, ski, and go on road trips. He loves to share his adventures with his friends.
- Hannah Tsinis (6): Hannah Tsinis is in 6th grade and enjoys writing novels as well as non-fiction articles. Her favorite hobbies include chess, art, and racing her dog.
